The Collegium Ducale Orchestra and Opera Singers
The Collegium Ducale Orchestra, consisting of only strings and one harpsichord (from 6 to more elements, extendable if necessary), performs a very interesting repertoire that ranges from the Venetian Baroque up to the 20th century (Vivaldi, Rossini, Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Strauss and many others). Its staff derives from the meeting of a group of musicians coming from the best orchestras in Veneto. In fact, the orchestra takes advantage of the appreciated soloists’ contribution who take part in the staff and perform there as virtuosos as well. The ensemble also conducts some research studies about musical praxis in order to perform their works according to the interpretative spirit of the time. The orchestra has been present in Venice since 1993 with the important concert season called "Venice and Europe: Music beyond History".
Opera Singers is an ensemble consisting of 2 or 3 opera singers (tenor, soprano and baritone) with a piano accompaniment that performs many famous opera arias (Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Mozart, etc.), as well as very famous Italian songs ("O sole mio" "Torna a Surriento", etc.).
